Every year my Inker Stamp Clubs are invited to participate in a 3″ X 3″ Christmas Sampler Swap. The colors used are based off a Designer Series Paper pack. All the swaps coordinate because the same colors are used weather you have traditional or whimsical piece. This year we used Painted Christmas Designer Series Paper that has Calypso Coral, Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Evening Evergreen, Garden Green, Pear Pizzazz, Real Red, Soft Sea Foam, and Soft Succulent colors.

I added a layer of Gold Brushed Metallic to each swap. I die cut the center out of my 3 ⅜” X 3 ⅜” Gold Brushed Metallic Cardstock with a Squares Collection Die (retired) to use on another project. You can use any shape you want.

Save your empty Stampin’ Dimensional sheets to use the boards for projects like these. I used my Paper Snips to frame the back of the 3 X 3 swap to attach the Gold layer and a few strips in the middle to attach to the Sampler background.

I created a template to help space out my Sampler. I used some scrap cardboard and used a Squares Collection Die to create an “L” shape.

I used the “L” to place the four corners on my Sampler. I used a Eden Garden Specialty Designer Series Paper since it coordinated so well with the colors.

I then filled in the spaces with the outer pieces. It was easy to line up with this Designer Series paper since it had vertical lines.

After the final piece is placed in the center, it was ready to put in the shadow box frame.
