The Joseph’s Coat technique is used to show hidden color in the background. This card was created using Spong Daubers, our Classic Ink Pads and Clear Embossing Powder. Click here to see the Joseph’s Coat Leaf Supplies.

Creating Joseph’s Coat with Desiger Series Paper or Sponge Daubers

Joseph’s Coat Steps
• Apply color randomly over the entire area of Carstock or use Designer Series Paper. I used Beauty of the Earth Designer Series Paper on the left and used Sponge Daubers and Classic Ink on the right.
• Stamp the image on your card using VersaMark ink, coat the inked area with Clear Embossing Powder, remove excess Powder and heat with the Heat Tool.
• Cover the front of the Cardstock with dark ink. Rub the Pad order Cardstock or press the Cardstock into the Pad depending on the Cardstock size. I used Early Espresso Classic Stampin’ Pad for these cards.
• Remove ink off of the stamped image with paper towel. Our Classic Ink does not dry on the Embossed area so it becomes a a window to the pattern below.
